When you mix teamwork, precision, and dedication, you get something truly remarkable. At CCCF, the sewing team recently worked on a project that showcased all these qualities and more. Advanced Medical Solution came to us with a challenge of creating a flexible wrist brace. What followed was an incredible display of teamwork, consisting of cutting, sewing, and assembling that exceeded their expectations.


Our task began with 4,301 pieces of pre-cut foam, 16,557 pieces cut from rolls of foam, and 35,114 straps cut from spools of elastic. These raw materials would soon transform into over 20,000 high-quality wrist braces.

It was an intricate five-step process involving:
  1. Meticulously sewing elastic to ensure a secure fit for the user
  2. Expertly placing foam for comfort and a polished final product
  3. Carefully inserting 20,301 metal plates to provide necessary support and structure in the brace
  4. Adding Velcro strips to enhance usability, making the braces adjustable
  5. Finally, sewing the tops of the braces together, ensuring durability and a professional finish

The Results:

The dedication of our CCCF Sewing team, including Lynda, Katie, Pam, Robyn, Joy, and Guadalupe, was truly exceptional. Initially completing 100 wrist braces a day, they worked together to boost their productivity to an astounding 350 braces daily. Their proficiency in laying out the foam improved the production process and saved the customer three rolls of foam for future orders. This extraordinary effort enabled us to finish the project a full month ahead of schedule.
