IN MY OWN WORDS - KEVIN, OSCI CALL CENTER
Kevin overcame tremendous odds through his work in OCE
"I knew it was a long shot but I was hired and transferred to OSCI - so this is where OCE/DMV really come in to help me succeed. They knew of my disability really quick. But they didn't judge me. They found new ways to teach me. They showed me how to remember things a better different way, and I'm proud to say I'm working on my 3rd year at the DMV. And because of OCE giving me the chance to work for them I beat the impossible."
We have received many letters and continue to see more come in. The responses have been fairly well-rounded with a range of positive, negative, and neutral tones. We want to share with you a letter we received from Kevin. Kevin resides at Oregon State Correctional Institution and works in OCE's Call Center. He has worked very hard for the progress he has made in his life and recovery. His last name has been redacted for considerations of safety and sensitivity. What he has to say in the following letter is real and in his own words.
