Did you know that laundry chemical barrels weigh over 600 hundred pounds? Workers have to transport these drums on a dolly, make sharp turns and have another worker catch them when they reach the top of the ramp to keep the barrel from tipping. The chemicals are rated "Extreme Danger" in the SDS.

Our OCE Sign Shop just wrapped up a project crafting 40 new interactive tree identification signs for the Oregon Department of Forestry. These signs are now at the C.J. Reed Arboretum in the Department's Astoria main district office, thanks to a grant from the Society of American Foresters (SAF).

In the Fall of 2021, the OCE Print Shop, in partnership with the State of Oregon's Publishing & Distribution (P&D) print shop, were discussing the fact that during the pandemic, there was a critical shortage of envelopes across the United States, as well as worldwide. This was brought on by supply chain issues in the paper industry.
